So, bringing everyone up to speed...
I, Timothy Curley, spent six days traversing the mountains, valleys, plains, and deserts of this great country of ours, along with my good friend William Derusha from Sunday June 8, 2008 through Friday June 13, 2008. Setting out from cozy Westborough, Massachusetts we drove over 3500 miles arriving in beautiful Rancho Santa Fe, California. A blog concerning these six days was created by my traveling companion and includes hundreds of pictures of our adventure. This blog can be found here. --> Bill's Blog. In the tradition of this popular blog I have decided to recount my continued adventures as I spend my summer in the tropical paradise that is San Diego in this the Summer of 2008.
The primary objective of this blog is aimed more towards sharing pictures and less towards writing about what I've been doing. They say a picture is worth 1000 words. That's 1000 words of typing time per picture that I can contribute towards having more adventures and thus creating more pictures for your viewing pleasure. I will admit up front that I have never actually been much of a picture taker and will gladly be stealing photos from Mo's mother Lili who's incessant passion for picture taking is unmatched. Just like in Bill's blog I will provide you with links to Flickr accounts containing all the pictures. I make no promises concerning this blog or the pictures in terms of frequency of postings but have 4 nice albums to start you all off with.
The first album contains pictures from our second night in town when some family friends came over and we grilled up some burgers. Mo's friends Rachel and Jen came too and we all had a great time. It was nice to finally have some human contact beyond Bill, food servers, and hotel staff members. The link for those pictures is here. --> Grilling!
The second album is some random pictures of just hanging around the house. Mo had orientation for her summer job so Bill and I were left to entertain ourselves. There are some priceless photos. The link for those pictures is here. --> Just Hanging Out
And finally, for Bill's last night in town we decided to go all out and make home made pizza for dinner. After a quick trip to Trader Joe's for ingredients we were off and baking. Bill made a buffalo chicken and bleu cheese pizza. I attempted a Greek pizza with feta, olives, and other random non-Greek stuff, and Mo made a deliciously cheesey pizza with sausage, peppers, goat cheese, three cheese blend, sun dried tomatos, and God knows what other deliciously random ingredients. We had a great time despite some angry stomachs afterwards for having consumed large amounts of melted cheeses. The link for thoses pictures is here. --> Pizza Night
There are many more pictures to come including beach trips, learning to surf, and boating around San Diego Harbor.
